Bachelor’s degree. Five years of full-time project management experience. Experience managing a team. Experience public speaking, conducting trainings or presentations. Experience with Microsoft Office or similar software. Experience with project management software. Experience with conflict resolution. Experience leading cross-functional, large-scale projects. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree. Additional years of project management experience. Budget management experience. Experience designing presentations.

Brief Description of Duties:The incumbent initiates, plans, executes, controls and closes the most complex and critical enterprise projects for the University. The incumbent will oversee the Project Management Office and provide ongoing operational support.

The successful incumbent will have excellent interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational skills with an exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving. In direct support of the University's overall mission, this position is responsible for managing the University's project pipeline and portfolio, improving and informing project portfolio prioritization, minimizing risk, maximizing resource utilization, and applying project management principles to facilitate quality and the success of project implementations. Manage the University’s enterprise project portfolio and the Project 50 Forward program portfolio. Direct and support enterprise project prioritization. Determine, formulate and administer Project Management Office policies and procedures. Implement and foster an environment of best business project management policies and practices at the University.

Under the general direction of the SVP/CIO, provide vision and strategic direction for the Project Management Office and its most complex and critical University-wide enterprise projects. Establish policies and procedures for implementing University-wide enterprise projects, making independent decisions which have a direct impact on the timeline and budget of these highly complex projects. Serve on essential University-wide policy-making, proposing, and planning committees.

Direct and manage the Project Management Office (PMO) team, leading the area responsible for Enterprise Project Management. Manage budgets for the team consistent with campus and organizational goals. Ensure delivery of a suite of highly aligned services. Provide annual operating plan including annual budget. Develop and implement appropriate professional development and training programs. Ensure superior customer experience and support for external and internal customers.

In performance of all job duties, at all times be responsible for delivering optimal customer service, for protecting institutional data and privacy, and the excellent delivery of solutions and services by following divisional and University policies, procedures and processes.
