Duties of a TH MedicalRadiographer in the Ultrasound Department may include thefollowing but are not limited to:
BriefDescription of Duties:
Produces diagnostic exams, positions and transfers patients,provides immobilization devices, selects proper technical factors on anindividual patient basis, selects and operates equipment.
Provides protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards,assisting physicians, responsible for delegatingareas of authority in the performance of routine or special procedures, may beresponsible for specific areas of instruction in the school of technology andancillary personnel.
In the absence of the supervisor or senior technologist, may bedesignated as acting supervisor.
Assists in performing first aid, as necessary, practices steriletechniques and prevents cross-contamination.
May conduct periodic quality control tests, will participate orconduct research in required specialty.
Will be required to teach imaging students or specialty.
Will be required to teach imaging students or appropriate hospital personnel established procedures and operation of equipment, in accordancewith the guidelines and teaching objectives of the department.
Required Qualifications: Graduate from an Diagnostic Ultrasound Program in General Ultrasound. ARDMS Registered or Registry Eligible for RDMS (Abdomen).
* Preferred Qualifications: * One Year Experience in general Ultrasound.RDMS(OBGYN) registered or registry eligible.Experience in Vascular Ultrasound - Registered or registryeligible.
