Required Qualifications: (As evidenced by an attached resume)

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent or higher). Previous experience working on clinical trials enrolling an consenting study participants and maintaining databases and regulatory records. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with electronic data capture.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional years of clinical research experience documenting social and medical histories editing research protocols and drafting and submitting renewal paperwork as part of the IRB (Internal Review Board) documentation. Proficiency with using an electronic medical record. Familiarity with cardiology terminology.

Brief Description of Duties:

Working under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will manage clinical research studies in the clinical research setting, coordinating all activities within a protocol related to study assessment, patient recruitment, research study performance, data acquisition, data entry and reports. The successful applicant must possess a high level of judgement, collaboration, motivation and work well in a group.

  • Conduct clinical research including screening patients for inclusion in studies, consenting patients and assisting with the overall performance of the research protocols.

  • Draft and amend documentation for Internal Review Board (IRB) projects and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clinical trials and compose Safety Monitoring Committee (SMC) reports and adverse event documentation; Obtain and record data.

  • Enter and analyze data using Electronic Data Capture software, MS Excel, etc; Communicate with attending physicians and teams.

  • Supervise students/trainees and attend meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned.
