Stony Brook University Clinical Instructor in Stony Brook, New York
The Clinical Instructor must have a Post-baccalaureate degree (Master's Degree or Doctoral) in nursing or related field from an accredited institution. Current NYS Registered Nurse License. Minimum (1) year recent teaching in a graduate nursing program. Minimum (5) years recent Nursing leadership experience. Certification in area of specialty.
Doctorate in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution. Emerging record of clinical and professional scholarship.
Responsibilities & Requirements
The Clinical Instructor will teach graduate students on-site and distance education modalities. The incumbent will collaborate with faculty in Nursing and other disciplines to advance School of Nursing programs, activities and mission; and participate in faculty governance activities and service within the School of Nursing and the University.
This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: 9/1/2018
